Airline websites blacklist (contd)

I posted about this recently, and trying to do a search for "blacklist airline website" really did not come up with what I wanted. Although The Irish Independent gave me a bit more information on airlines that complied with being more transparent in their websites, these include:-

[...] bmi, bmibaby, Iberia, Spanair and Virgin Atlantic

It's good to know though.

Careful now when you book flights

With Ryanair forcing people to check-in online after 20th May before they reach airports, there's one thing we have to bear in mind when booking with any airline sites, it's their hidden fees. Apparently, Ryanair, Aer Lingus and Aer Arann are on the grey list, I would have thought Ryanair is notorious for hidden fees. Article from RTE News online listed some blacklisted airlines sites, these include:-
Olympic, Turkish Airlines, Royal Moroccan Airlines, Northwest, Air Baltic, Aeroflot, Wing Jet and Emirates

May is the time...

Well, it's the month my youngest brother's birthday falls on. As it happens, the communions are on, so we had problems in the past, especially last year trying to book a cake, even three days in advance. The cakes we get from Ivan's are really fresh, last year's one was less on the freshness side. This year, I went to pick up the cake in the morning around 10.30am, there was hardly any customers. The cashiers were twiddling their thumbs. I picked up the cake, checked for a newspaper to pick up near the cashiers, and a lady asked if I minded she'll take those to her counter so I can pay for them. I walked past the 3/4 cashiers looking at me, around the corner to the lady's counter and paid for the items. It must have been a really slow morning. When the cake was cut by my brother after the usual Happy Birthday song and blowing out of candles, I took a bite out of my slice of cake.... mmmmm, really fresh and fluffy. Delish! I bet you anything, that it's something to do with the recession, parents are not forking out a fortune for communions this year. Sure enough, I read this today in the Indo, Communion cash to be sacrificed amid downturn.
