Just saw one of Ubisoft's tweet on one of its polls and when I went to that site, what I saw was cool. It was a simple poll, but by using the power of tweets for voting.
Ok, I was astounded that UCD is offering Java courses for EUR45, more so that why are they offering it in the first place? CPL says that there are companies looking for good Java programmers, but you won't get that from someone who just finished a Java course, it's experience they want anyway. Well, back to my Python coding...
On Saturday, Mick and I decided to go and look for flooring at Brooks Thomas at Bluebell, turns out that they were not open, and we are guessing, because of Easter.
So we decided to check out Homebase, just out of curiousity, and found them rather lacking (who would have thunk, ay?). Anyhoo, we trundled back into town, by LUAS of course. Went to O'Hagan Designs on Capel Street, and it was a bit bare. We were told by the shop assistant at the time that they just fitted out 30 apartments, and are due new furniture in 2 weeks. I was still impressed with the quality of furniture though. Then I saw this in the news this morning, they are folding, what timing, and just our luck. It's probably too late to pick up bargains, all the furniture we saw there were all sold to someone already.
Anyway, before I knew what was going to happen to O'Hagan's, we went down the quays towards Hanover quay. Bob Bushell's was another place we were recommended, and guess what? It's moved to Park West. Oh noes....
Although across the Liffey, we went to another furniture shop in The CHQ building called The environment furniture, so some nice stuff there as well.
All-in-all, a half-half sort of day for us in regards to furniture and flooring browsing.
I was wondering why there was a strong whiff of burning plastic when I left the apartment yesterday morning. The reason being, an epic fire was raging at a recycling plant yesterday and was ongoing for 15 hours, according to the indo.
With the #bludget causing a big dent for young and old when it was announced yesterday, and more financial burdens for everyone, and surprise, surprise... it seems the middle-class is targeted yet again. Oh, and the cost of a driving test has doubled, yup, it's now EUR75. Amidst all this, I manage to hear something good in the news, summer is here early with sightings of a number of swallows in the country.

Just got emailed NY Times article about it. I wonder what's going to happen now?
