Them estate agents... story continues

Well, an agent has been trying to ring me, it's not helped by the fact that I kept missing his calls. Plus he did not leave a message. Anyway, the reason was I was suppose to view a certain house, and someone has put an offer in, 420K for a house that is marked for 450K (asking price). He said the vendor was not happy (not sure why he told me this), and asked if I still wanted to view this house. More so, and to the point, if I was to make an offer, would I go higher? Of course, I declined to disclose anything, apart from the fact that my husband needs to be partake in this type of conversation. I told him to let the vendor and buyer go ahead with what they are doing. I can hear the disappointment in his voice, even though he was trying to sound cheery about it.

Seriously, I am not going to bid up on a house where house prices are falling. That's just ludicrous, "take it or leave it" will be our thinking when we put down our offer.
