I think he is giving credit to a book, "1421: The Year China Discovered the World", that is out now (I saw it at my local bookstore today andwas tempted to get it). I also think he is a smoker, given his biaseness towards the no smoking ban, his language is a little rough, but to the point I suppose. ;) Just thought it was interesting to share...
