[General] Another reason for cd sales slump

Apart from crap music and extortional prices, it may seem that the distorted, loud music makes people feel naucious.

...record companies are using digital technology to turn the volume on CDs up to "11".

"The quieter parts are becoming louder and the loudest parts are just a buzz."

What about the commuters on buses and trains that have their music turned up to the max, that even people on the other end of the transportation can hear what they are listening to? It really hurts my ears, never mind the person who is listening to really loud music. What really gets me is, how on earth can you listen to heavy metal first thing in the morning? Sometimes it gives me a headache when I get off the bus or LUAS.
