Wow, did not realise the ...
... compiling Gnome2.4 can be such a job in itself! I need it as it would be useful for my development work, plus I can do some usability testing. But utter frustration of one dependancies missing and re-compiling the modules took its toll today, as it ate into my work time, which was thankfully my development time).
Checking out was fine, followed the jhbuild instructions. It;s the actual compiling of the modules that were utter nuisance.
All I could say is, I am lucky to have a BF to save the day. I am back at my family home down in Limerick, and my laptop is back in the appartment in Dublin, whirring away as it is compiling away under the watchful eye of my ultra cute BF! :P
Well, it's late, to all you geeks out there, how do you guys do it at all!
