Dublin's public transport

Grr, how infuriating can a bus and train make you? Very, I say VERY!

The one morning I want to make it into work by 9am, I end up waiting at the bus stop for 25 minutes! Yes, you read right, 25 minutes. And sometimes people would wonder why the buses are so packed, it does not really help when 3 busloads of people are trying to fit into 1 bus. On top of it all, becuase of crappy bus lanes to the city centre, the bus was stuck in traffic for nearly 20 minutes. That in turn made me miss the DART train, and waiting for another 12 minutes. Got into work finally at 9:15am. What a morning, and I did not even have my coffee yet...

um I was going to add a little rant about the buses but I've just had to explane to a guy from Bosnia that his son was refused leave to land, and if he came here he would be detained in Mount Joy.
um anyway busses ...
I've been informed that Busses clump together because of a mathmatical rule call clumping ... and that its unavoidable and that the more busses the worse it is ...
but the stop that i get on the 39 is close enough to the teminus that it should take less time for the bus to reach me thab it takes for the next buss to leave the terminus...
so how can they clump? ok so if one hits trafic then it might be slowed down enough for the ext buss to chatch up ... but then the next buss hitts the traffic ... and should still be 9 mins behind... and the next one an other 9 mins behind that ... or 18 mins after the first ...
so how do i get clumps of 3 busses?
I think there must be some sort of quantum effect like the quantum interferance thing with one photon at a time going through the two slitts thing...
yes, indeed, you see it is the passangers and traffic that busses in other universes might encounter that cause the busses in this one to clump when there is no reason to ... or rather when there is insuficent space/time for them to do so ...

In Dublin Bus's case the "clumping" arises from the fact the older drivers know how to time their departure from the terminus and play the traffic lights so the come up behind the bus ahead and not have to pick up any passengers. The sooner GPS tracking is brought in the better.

Here, here! If I owned Dublin bus, I would sack anyone who is not abiding to the contract, and not honouring to the business success, that is prompt services, mean more passengers would use the bus (apart from people who are force to use the one bus every 1 hour!) Yes, tag them all, I say... tag them all!!!
