Hong Kongers crazy for Halloween

More than we are, they spend a fortune buying imported pumpkins, partying, dressing up. It's amazing. Here, I think the weather has dampened the booms and bangs of fireworks.

Sim card vending machine

A sim card vending machine, it's so cool. Wish they had it while I was over there over the summer. Not that it is hard to get in the first place, off to the nearest phone shop, ask for HK$100 card, and all you need is a phone, and you are set. Now with a vending machine, so quick and easy!

Sp@m-diculous

Europeans taste for growing number of ethnic dishes

Yup, now that people travel further and further, research on Europeans show the growing number of ethnic food dishes are part of the European food marktet. Dublin has a big variety of restaurants, but for some reason I love Italian food more than anything else, outside of Chinese food that is. *wink*

Bugs in pasta

Someone found bugs in pasta and that reminded me of the time I found bugs in the macaroni... yuck! The bugs were all dead though, but it was sickening. It was packaged in Mainland China, and then distributed from HK. With all the talk of fake food this and fake food that from Mainland China, now I have to check the packaging to see where the stuff was packed, even though they are from HK. Creepy... *eep*

Double entendre

Hanzi matters is a funny site where Chinese words are misused/duped in the West (like tshirts, tattooes). Good laugh. It's like when you see Chinese t-shirts misuse the English words with hilarious results, although not intentionally.
